It’s the end of the school year here in Spain and I wanted the boys to make something for their teachers. I thought about buying something for them but felt that making something would help them learn that they were saying thank you. Thank you for all their teachers’ hard work and patience with them. Thank you for all the fun they've had this year. Thank you for encouraging them in their learning.
We decided on flowers and bright colours. In our ‘doing box’ we found some egg boxes that we’d used to do a colour experiment, mixing colours with white to make different shades of blue and red.
We cut them out and stuck them on our pieces of card. Then the boys added a few details, petals and stalks.
And some glitter for the finishing touch.
So beautiful and so simple.
The teachers liked them. I noticed them in their classrooms when I went for school report.
A creative and simple way to teach our kids to say thank you.
